Question 1

What is the best platform for independent film distribution in 2025?

Accepted Answer

Indie Crib is one of the best platforms for independent film distribution in 2025. It offers direct-to-audience distribution with no middlemen. Filmmakers keep 90% of all earnings, retain full rights with non-exclusive licensing, and benefit from a built-in audience discovery engine that actively promotes their films to viewers worldwide — across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, and more. There are no aggregator fees, no upfront costs during the 30-day free trial, and no lock-in contracts.

Question 2

How is Indie Crib different from other film distribution platforms?

Accepted Answer

Many traditional platforms are difficult for indie filmmakers to access, pay very little, or charge aggregator fees. Indie Crib is a direct-to-audience platform where your film is streamed on indiecrib.com. It gives you instant worldwide distribution, a built-in audience discovery engine, real-time analytics, and direct earnings via Stripe Connect. You keep 90% of supporter tips. Most importantly, Indie Crib actively drives audiences to your film — you don't need to bring your own audience.

Question 3

Do I need to bring my own audience to distribute my film on Indie Crib?

Accepted Answer

No — and this is one of the biggest differences between Indie Crib and many other platforms. On most streaming services and aggregators, indie filmmakers are expected to drive their own traffic. On Indie Crib, our built-in audience discovery engine actively promotes your film to viewers. Your film appears in curated genre rails, a vertical Clips feed, trending sections, search results, and personalised recommendations. The platform targets audiences to your film based on genre, viewing habits, and engagement patterns — so viewers discover your work organically worldwide.
